Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track that dealt with issues of race and sexuality. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of a series of raps. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was the child of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. Then, she started hip-hop and classical training. Following a focus on education, she earned an education in journalism at college and a women's studies major. After graduating, it wasn't until that she turned her attention to music. After gaining viral fame on the Internet the song My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on her debut album Yellow Ranger. It also included other viral hits like the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC BitcheUSD. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC A travel guide that was released in the year 2015. The resume of her included musicians and an author. Now she was looking to further her career in acting. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk she was also in films like Neighbors 2 Storks as well as Bad Rap. In the year 2018 she scored several notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's Eight or Crazy Rich Asians. Her EP came out, in Fina We Trust in June of the year.
